Writer of the Month

Task Force 23: Inti Colony: Alen

Inti: Alen, who, in spite of the holidays, has been the only one to tag this month. He's creating an interesting story arc for his NPC, Ethan, who is a treasure hunter/independent merchant.

Area 51: Ontario: Nicole

Ontario: Nicole (Siren). She came up with some great options (and complications) for how to deal with the two ships from the past and is always willing to jump into a post. She and the counselor have an interesting friendship.

Player of the Month

Task Force 23: Resolution: Cliff

Resolution: Cliff, who plays the Klingon Captain Drex. He's honorable, but true to his own moral compass. He's a great character and has made the negotiations more interesting—and complicated.

Area 51: Pandora; CF

Pandora: CF (Lieutenant Mindo) - Continuing to step up and into the role of XO while Phil remains on ELOA, CF has kept the Pandora going. Both he and AJ (CO) have worked well together in lifting spirits and keeping the Pandora crew engaged during the holiday season.

Task Force 23:

Bellwether: "Unexpected Meetings" (http://bellwether.sim-station.net/index.php/sim/viewpost/16) The small station's one and only security officer arrives and is greeted by a very giddy Bolian.

Fourth Quarter Awards

Task Force 23

SIM of the Quarter: USS Resolution

The Resolution has a good crew that is actively involved in the missions. It's because of the crew that the sim is doing so well.

CO of the Quarter: Hamish Brott - RS Bellwether

Brott came up with a unique concept for Bellwether. It's a small relay station with a crew of six—and a lot of unique problems. The character is a lot of fun and the writer makes the sim enjoyable for everyone. His contributions to posts are delightful as well as supportive of his crew.

XO of the Quarter: T'kaarch - USS Ranger

Since becoming XO of the Ranger, T'kaarch has been enthusiastic about tagging, advertising, and helping with anything the CO and crew needs. He's a great writer and has great ideas to help the CO and the sim.

Writer of the Quarter: Alen - Inti Colony

Alen has created a side adventure on Inti that involves mercenaries, Cardassians, lost treasure, and a mysterious female who knows more than she's telling. It's a fun series of posts and he gives his writing partner plenty of intrigue to get involved in.

Player of the Quarter: Fluffy - USS Calypso

Fluffy has been instrumental in helping set up situations where the crew can have a role. Sometimes that included multiple teams to get more characters involved and sometimes it was helping out with NPCs to give players someone to write with.

Area 51

SIM of the Quarter: USS Wolff

The crew has been working hard on the Wolff’s current mission and producing quality mission posts as well as character socialization posts that have promoted character growth and plot development. The fleet recognizes the crew of the USS Wolff for their fourth quarter activity earning the Wolff Sim of the Quarter.

CO of the Quarter: Pippa Whitley - USS Standing Bear

The Captain of the USS Standing Bear has been leading their crew strongly through this latest quarter. With exciting posts and creative thinking, the fleet presents Pippa Whitley as the Commanding Officer of the Quarter.

XO of the Quarter: Mindo (Acting XO) - Pandora

The Chief Engineer of the USS Pandora has done an exceptional job these past few months stepping up into the role of Acting Executive Officer. Mindo’s leadership and support is proudly recognized and acknowledged by the fleet. Mindo is a shining example of an Executive Officer and has earned Executive Officer of the Quarter.

Writer of the Quarter: Janet - Standing Bear, Pandora, Wolff

In Area 51, she has been an anchor and active writer for the USS Standing Bear, USS Wolff, and USS Pandora. Her characters are distinctively different and continue to develop with each post. Theta Fleet recognizes Janet as the Writer of the Quarter.

Player of the Quarter: Stuart - Ontario

Aboard the USS Ontario, Stuart writes the ship’s counselor, Lieutenant Amanda Rose, a brilliantly written character that has undergone a lot in recent months. Stuart is engaging, and always willing to assist new members of the crew to get involved. The USS Ontario would not be the same without Stuart and his character. The fleet recognizes Stuart as Player of the Quarter.

2021 Annual Fleet Awards

Task Force 23

Sim of the Year: Deep Space 5

The mission this last year was intense, with a group of Cardassians deciding to attack and take over DS5 and the nearby planet. The players have written some amazing posts and the story is both complex and engrossing.

CO of the Year: Xavier Carey - USS Resolution

Captain Carey has been actively involved in most of the posts as CO and a variety of NPCs to help create a broader story or to simply cause more complications. He will often have multiple posts going on with different sides of a problem to give players more to do.

XO of the Year: T'kaarch - USS Ranger

2021 was a hard year for many, but Tkaarch's enthusiasm never waned. Even when things were slow, he was always there to jump in with a tag or to make suggestions or simply help flesh out a story.

Writer of the Year: Stuart - Calypso, Aurora, Resolution, DS5

Stuart's characters are…unique. A counselor who can't help hugging everyone, a doctor who is looking for love in all the wrong places, a very proper Vulcan who can't understand humans, and a science officer who can't hold still and tries to do a dozen things at once. His variety of NPCs are equally quirky. You never know what to expect with his tags, but they're always entertaining. He is a great foil for other characters as well and supportive of others.

Player of the Year: Ieuan - Calypso, Aurora, Bellwether

Ieuan is always there to

Area 51

Sim of the Year: Starbase 109

While Starbase 109 has a different mission every three months, much of what happens on the sim is carried out by players running different stories that can run to the same theme, or continue on for multiple missions. It's a setting that allows for great stories and in-depth character development. The fact that the sim has a great pool of writers helps keep things interesting.

CO of the Year: Taliserra Tigran - USS Wolff

The Commanding Officer of the USS Wolff has been steadfastly engaged, leading their Luna class starship. The Wolff’s missions are always diverse, and Captain Tigran tackles this diversity and its obstacles head-on, and this year has been full of challenges that have shown that they are deserving of being recognized as Commanding Officer of the Year.

XO of the Year: Soral - USS Standing Bear

A place like the USS Standing Bear takes a very special individual to be its Executive Officer. Soral has been an outstanding example of what an Executive should be and has gone above and beyond. Theta Fleet recognizes Soral as the Executive Officer of the Year.         Writer of the Year: Janet - Pandora, Standing Bear, Wolff

A strong quarter was backed up with an incredible year full of passion and dedication to the craft of simming, creative idea planning, and character development. Janet has done all of these in abundance for twelve consecutive months as part of the USS Standing Bear, USS Pandora, and USS Wolff. Therefore, Theta Fleet bestows to her, Writer of the Year.

Player of the Year: Ray - Ontario, Standing Bear, Pandora, Albright, Wolff, Cygnus

From the USS Standing Bear, Ontario, Albright, Pandora, Cygnus, and Wolff, Ray’s characters and creativity spanning across several sims in Area 51, each character is well written, and he is always ready to find a way to get crews engaged especially during these difficult times. Because of this, the fleet recognizes Ray as Player of the Year.

    Admiral's Choice: Rockstar

Theta Fleet Admiralty would like to express gratitude towards an individual who joined Theta Fleet earlier in the year with limitless enthusiasm and determination to learn and to help others. Due to his special efforts and going above and beyond. Ninaad  (Rockstar) has earned an Admiral’s Choice.
