January 2022 Fleet Awards

Unit of Distinction

Task Force 23:

    Gold: RS Bellwether

    Silver: USS Aurora

    Bronze: USS Calypso

Area 51:

    Gold: USS Myogi

    Silver: USS Standing Bear

Bronze (tie): Artemis & Tokyo & Azrael & Pandora

Writer of the Month

    Task Force 23: Bellwether: Bryan

Coming in right in the last couple days of the month, but already contributing two posts and working on a third. Bryan has brought a unique character that I feel like was a missing piece to the crew diversity - an old timer NCO.

Area 51 (tie): Standing: Clinton & Myogi: Andrew

Standing: Clinton (Lieutenant K'Var / Dr. Jarin Alexander) This month, Clinton was a driving force for activity and mission progression. Tackling one character can be challenging enough, but in addition to his primary character of a Caitian Security Chief, he resurrected his old character as an NPC. His balance between both characters has been wonderful to read.

Myogi: Andrew, who plays Jane Sinclair, our Chief Flight Control Officer: Andrew never ceases to amaze with his high level of activity; his character has almost as much mission posts as mine does.

Player of the Month

    Task Force 23: Calypso: Ieuan

Between Chief Science Officer and his security officer, Ieuan has been instrumental in helping keep two of the three posts moving forward. He is also creative in his tags and always has something that will help develop his character as well as forward the post and the mission.

Area 51 (tie): Artemis: Berzerker & SB109: The crew

Artemis: Berzerker (Lieutenant Mannan Triton) One of the most active players this month. Also wrote several enjoyable posts to read and recruited a few players for the sim.

SB109: I hereby nominate the entire crew for Player of the Month. After a couple of months of low activity, we are shaking the dust off and moving ahead, back into regular writing and storytelling. Some players who aren’t on the command team are taking the lead in suggesting ideas for group posts, and we are proceeding with them. I appreciate the help!

Post of the Month

Task Force 23: Bellwether: "That Lovely Shade of Green" (https://bellwether.sim-station.net/index.php/sim/viewpost/23)

With the station holding a few Ferengi guests who have been feeling ill, the station's science officer, Lieutenant Macleod makes a fascinating discovery in some tainted bottles of Slug-O-cola. This post is just a perfect example of the small-scale issues that Bellwether encounters, but that does not make it any less important.

    Area 51 (tie):

Ontario: "Stuck in Time" (https://ontario.sim-station.net/index.php/sim/viewpost/198)

Wolff: "Convergence Part 3" (https://www.usswolff.com/nova2/index.php/sim/viewpost/590)
